| Tom had one on his Deltec skimmer, but I think he wasn't overly happy with it. I honestly can't remember. I find having a clean neck in my skimmer, or dirty doesn't effect it's performance.

| the guy on RC has been pretty happy with it.The only reason why I would like to have one is that I hate cleaning the dam skimmer. If I shut the skimmer off the pump sticks.I leave my skimmer on and clean it with a sponge.Would be nice not to have to clean it if this works well.

You STILL need to clean, just not quite as often.

| I mean draining the skimmer is easy.I usually use my shop vac to drain it so I don't have to remove the cup.You can put the cleaning head on a timer so that it goes on several times a day.You will not get the same amount of gunk that you would normally get since the head will wipe it off.You will still get the same skimmate maybe more since the neck will be cleaner.Mine is always dirty since I don't clean it as often.Once my system is set up I will go back to my normal Sunday routine of tank maintenance.Because its a sump tank I just don't bother.
