I figured this would be a good post to introduce any new members who joined us to establish some of the idiosyncrasies and "rules" we have.

As you may have noticed. We are quite liberal (calm down Barry it's just a phrase) about having any formal rules and what not. You are free to post your opinions and rant to your content without fear of being banned. That said however, we do realize that due to the nature of the site, there may be questionable material being posted that may not be appropriate for the workplace or in the presence of children. To that end we have implemented a couple guidelines for this

1. Please refrain from posting any questionable pictures and images on any forums except for the four forums from under the Happy Hour section. These include the Shits and Giggles, No Sleep for the Wicked, The Soap Box, and the Retard of the Month (ROTM) forums.

2. If you wish to view the forums from your workplace or at home and do not want to show the various avatars and signatures please change this in your profile.

Go to User Control Panel > Profile > Profile Settings > Reading > Uncheck Display Avatars, Display Signatures, and/or Display Images.

That's it really for "rules"
If you have any questions just holler and someone will help you out.

We're a bit wild but good bunch of people.

Welcome to DR

Welcome

As you may have noticed. We are quite liberal (calm down Barry it's just a phrase)

Actually D, the root of the word is actually "libertarian". Unfortunately over the years it's been highjacked by progressives.

Do your research Sarah Opps Barry: Cool

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberalism

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libertarianism

Liberalism predates the other one by several hundred years,,,

Liber is the root of both of them, it is just a word meaning FREE. Libertine is an offshoot http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libertine which I doubt either of them choose to accept as parentage.

That said this is neither here nor there I think Great D was using it in context of the word definition vs political Ideology ??? As in : not strict or rigorous; free; not literal: a liberal interpretation of a rule.
